A great night at the Royal Oak last night! A very appreciative audience that like their rock music! Thank you to everyone who came to see us, and to JC for guesting on Harmonica! Next up for us – 27th May at the Avon Brewery as part of Salisbury Live. Hope to see you there!
A couple of pictures of the band, and many of the fantastic machinery that came along to the Dog and Gun in Netheravon. A real fun night for us and a debut for our new bass player. Mr Lea Truckle. Thank you to everyone who came along to see us and supporting the event. Our next outing will be at Minstead Social Club in the New Forest. See you soon!
We are pleased to announce, effective immediately, Lea Truckle has joined the band on bass guitar!
Lea is a Salisbury born and based multi instrumentalist. A prolific guitarist; Lea won the 2015 best guitarist award at the Salisbury Music Awards. It was quite a shock to us here at Break Cover when Lea applied for the bassist position as he had previously depped with guitar while Terry was away.
We would like to say a big thank you to Dave Hitchins for stepping in to help out in the interim. Dave will pop up a couple more times on bass as Lea has some commitments this year already booked.
Lea’s first gig with us on bass will be at the Dog & Gun in Netheravon on Thursday 4th May for Bike Night. Please come and join us and in welcoming Lea!
It is with sadness that we have to announce that Steve has decided to leave the band.
We would like to thank Steve for his time with us and for his excellent playing. Highlights of our time together since September 2016 have to include supporting Bruce Foxton’s From The Jam, recording the album ‘Undaunted’ and supporting John Coghlan’s Quo last year at The Barrington in Ferndown
We wish Steve all the best with his future musical endeavours.
The awesome and versatile Mr Dave Hitchins is helping us out in the short term but we are actively looking for a new full time bass player right now.
Moving forwards, we are also actively looking to have another full time singer at the front of the band.
So if you
Live locally to Salisbury or Amesbury and have your own transport
Love Rock music
Have a professional attitude and professional gear (bass players)
Are any age
Have some experience of playing bass live OR
Can sing rock songs and able to let your hair down and rock out
Are committed to practice at least once a week and play live on a Friday or Saturday night (sometimes other nights too but rarely) a minimum of twice a month but could do more as required
What glorious weather it is out there today! Whatever you decide to do enjoying a bit of early summer, make sure you round it out with a few cold ones down in Amesbury at The New Inn. Its the first time there for us, but after a string of live music nights, it is quickly establishing itself as the place to be on a Saturday night!
