Well that was a busy weekend! Firstly a gig on the Friday at the Queens Arms on Ivy street and then on Saturday, a private function. As part of the Salisbury Live Roadshow, we headed to The Queens Arms and played to a great crowd! There is still time to catch some great acts in Salisbury as part of the road show, so don’t miss out!
You might have seen one or two of these already on Facebook! But here’s a collection of pictures from the gig yesterday at The Barrington Theatre.
The eagle eyed among you would spot that we were missing a person last night. Our Claire unfortunately couldn’t make it, so it was a boys night only… I have to say, it was a great experience! The theatre staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, the sound guys were spot on, and we even had a room to get changed in!!! I reckon that the tunes we selected were pitched just right for an audience wanting to hear their share of Quo and it was awesome to hear such an appreciative crowd. Thank you for having us! We have a gig every weekend in November, so keep your eyes peeled on our events page for upcoming gigs.
I told you it was a big one. So this Saturday, we are taking a short road trip to Ferndown, or more specifically, the Barrington Theatre where we will be opening for John Coghlan’s Quo.
John met with Francis Rossi and Alan Lancaster in 1962. They went through numerous band names but it all fell into place in the late 60’s when Rick Parfitt joined, and the frantic four formed Status Quo. Now with the help of Mick Hughes, Baz Barry and Rick Chase, “John Coghlan’s Quo” is most definitely not a tribute act, the prime aim being to recreate an authentic “70’s Quo Sound” in keeping with John’s time with Quo.
We are chuffed to bits to be playing this gig. Standby for photos a plenty over the weekend!
